Prof. Gasto Frumence is a Professor of Health Systems Management with extensive experience in health systems research, management, leadership and governance. His work spans decentralised health services, human resources for health, community health workers, public–private partnerships, policy analysis and health system planning. He has also contributed to research on HIV/AIDS, antimicrobial resistance, social capital and health, elderly health and intimate partner violence. Prof. Frumence brings substantial experience in research, policy engagement and technical consultancy, having worked with national and international partners including UNICEF, GIZ, PATH and government institutions. As Chairperson of the HSSRF Board, he provides strategic oversight and guidance to strengthen the Foundation's institutional development, research excellence and long-term impact.
